Matthew J Murray Founder & CEO

Matt has more than 30 years of hands-on operational, marketing and financial experience across different industries, and he developed many of the delivery techniques we use at iVET360. Matt helped develop two very successful companies as the COO of Stratus Dental Group and VP of Audigy Group, providing management services to prominent private dental and audiology practices. Matt is the proud grandfather of Andre the Puppy, a 4-year-old Boston terrier.

Oliver Roller Managing Director, Analytics

Oliver brings a diverse set of operational experience and private health care management knowledge to the iVET360 Management Team. Oliver’s private practice experience started at a young age at a practice where his father was a nationally recognized dentist. After graduating from University of Oregon with a degree in finance and entrepreneurial studies, he established a successful career as an investor, producer and operations director for an independent feature film company. When he moved to Portland, he reentered the world of private practice and spent seven years working in management services for private health care clinics. Oliver was instrumental in building one of the fastest growing companies in the Portland metro area, Fuel Medical Group, which serves leading otolaryngology clinics all over the country. Oliver is the father of a pleasant little rescue cat named Dari.

Justin Vandeberghe Managing Director, Marketing

Justin started his career at Liquid Agency, a creative and branding agency based in Silicon Valley. With the support of Liquid’s executive team, Justin left to run his own digital-specific marketing agency and created Vandeberghe Media. At VM, Justin assembled a team of designers, content creators and programmers who helped establish VM’s reputation for providing digital marketing strategies that generate results. With Audigy Group and Stratus Dental Group, Justin used industry-leading digital marketing programs and tools that created documented new patient growth for the private audiology and dental practices these two companies support. Justin is the father of a 4-year-old Boston terrier named Sir André and two lazy felines named Lily and Miles.

Heather Romano Managing Director, Staff Development

Heather brings over 20 years of veterinary hospital experience to iVET360, including 14 years in veterinary management. She began her career as a kennel attendant in high school, and since then, she has held nearly every position found at a veterinary practice. Just before she joined iVET360, she served as a regional multi-unit manager and private hospital management consultant. Throughout her career, Heather has found that a practice’s culture and leadership are cornerstones to retaining outstanding team members and creating a client experience that cultivates unparalleled loyalty. As a result, her driving passion is helping practices create work environments that foster positive, patient-focused and service-oriented cultures. At iVET360, Heather and her Staff Development Team work with practices to assess their cultures and help leaders provide compassionate management techniques. She has also become a sought-after speaker at veterinary groups for her unique perspective on leading and managing the many generations that are currently working at today’s veterinary practices. Heather shares her home with Emily, the greatest (and laziest) cattle dog that has ever lived.

Drew Vandeberghe Managing Director, Operations

Drew brings a unique blend of experience to iVET360, from a deep understanding of marketing and branding to adult education and behavioral knowledge. Drew is a Portland native, and he graduated from the University of Oregon, where he studied marketing and economics. After college, Drew moved to South Korea, where he taught English for three years while receiving a certificate in adult education from the University of Cambridge. Following his return to Portland, he enhanced his marketing skills by focusing on digital delivery, primarily in the private practice health care industry. Drew has managed and trained on multiple learning management systems, and he has developed seamless marketing support processes for prominent private practices throughout the United States and Canada. Drew currently raises a fun-loving, easy-going cat named Naya.

Management Team Advisory Group

Laird Goodman, DVM, CVA

Dr. Goodman has been practicing in Portland since graduating from University of Minnesota in 1983. Dr. Goodman and his wife, Pam, own the well-respected Murrayhill Veterinary Hospital in Beaverton, Oregon. Dr. Goodman is highly regarded locally, regionally and nationally by his peers and is acknowledged as an industry thought-leader for his clinical care and hospital operations. In 1999, Dr. Goodman was recognized as the Pacific Northwest’s American Animal Hospital Association Practitioner of the Year. In addition to being an active national speaker and participant on numerous prominent advisory boards, Dr. Goodman has served as president of the both the Oregon Veterinary Medical Association and the Portland Veterinary Medical Association.

Kurt Green

Kurt serves as president and CEO of VetSource. VetSource develops and delivers technology and pharmacy solutions for the veterinary industry. Kurt joined VetSource in 2007 when Sequoyah Technologies, a company he founded in 1999, merged with VetSource. Prior to founding Sequoyah Technologies, Kurt served as CEO of Cimcase International and held several management positions at Fortune 100 firms within the information technology industry. Kurt has an 18-month-old Australian shepherd named Gabe.

Darin Nelson

Darin is Chief Development Officer/Partner at Veterinary Growth Partners. Throughout Darin’s 25-year veterinary career, he has been dedicated to accelerating practice growth and increasing pet care. As SVP at Trupanion, Darin introduced industry-leading pet insurance products to practices and pet owners. Darin was with VCA Antech for 21 years and most recently served as senior vice president of development at VCA Antech. There, he was responsible for animal hospital and laboratory acquisitions and strategic accounts for Antech Diagnostics.

Dawn Kleser

Dawn is EVP and principal of KWA West, Inc., one of the largest professional representative firms for manufacturers in the United States. As a member of the executive team, she provides operational support for 150 manufacturers across numerous industries and retail trade, including pet supplies. Dawn has primary operational responsibility for the Oregon and California teams. In addition to building operations, Dawn’s strategic vision has helped KWA build and substantially grow retail sales programs in all major categories and classes of retail trade.

Gregg Takashima, DVM

After graduating from the University of Minnesota School of Veterinary Medicine in 1986, Dr. Takashima established the highly acclaimed Parkway Veterinary Hospital in Lake Oswego, Oregon. Dr. Takashima’s dedication to the veterinary community and advocacy for the human-animal bond has been recognized with an extensive list of industry positions and accomplishments. In 2011, Dr. Takashima was recognized as the Oregon Veterinary Practitioner of the Year and was elected as the 2011-2012 president of the American Animal Hospital Association (AHAA). He is an active international speaker on industry subjects and is a supporter of the Pacific Northwest’s veterinary community.

Kim Freeman, DVM, DACVIM (Oncology)

Dr. Freeman has been practicing veterinary oncology in Portland, Oregon since 2003. Dr. Freeman received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from University of Tennessee/Knoxville in 1999 following her undergraduate work at University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Freeman was board certified in the field of oncology by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) in 2003. From 2000-2003 Dr. Freeman completed her oncology residency at the Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in Houston, Texas. Dr. Freeman is a very well respected and highly referred to specialist throughout Oregon and Washington.

Simon Broad

Simon is a former Banfield Pet Hospital executive and Audigy Group consultant. At Banfield, Simon held a number of responsibilities, including serving as the vice president of business development and real estate after managing daily operations for nearly 100 hospitals. While at Audigy Group, Simon helped build a scalable plan for the rapidly exploding services delivery teams. Simon has an MBA and more than 20 years of franchise operations and sales experience in both the domestic and international markets.
